Yes, I know that the grammatically correct wording is, “she writes well.” You see, I thought it would be presumptuous if I called this site shewriteswell.com. Maybe you don’t think I do. Maybe you think I’m crap at the whole thing. I did just recently discover the m-dash after all. So as a fun little jab at myself, I went with shewritesgood instead. I also thought that it would help the 7 readers I anticipate getting know that this is a humor blog. But maybe it’s too subtle. Can I change the title? Who do I call at WordPress? Is the site name Amazon taken? That might be better, since you’re basically in for a bush-whacking jungle walk with me here. I need to put that on my mental to-do list after I’m done writing this intro.
Anyhoo, I should properly introduce myself. I am a girl from southern California who is married to a boy from Ohio. We have a four-year-old daughter, and are in the process of moving closer to my aging parents. Like most things in my life, this has been far more dramatic and drawn-out than it should be.
I was a stay-at-home mom in the beginning, but am now back in the workplace. I am grateful for the opportunity to know both sides of the coin.
I’ve worked entirely in the the public or non-profit sectors, and always with the intent of helping people. What I’ve come to learn over almost two decades of work is most people want to feel understood. My goal, above most others, is to fill this infinitesimally small corner of the internet with words that do just that, in a lightly satirical way that hopefully makes you laugh.
